In 2023–2024, hundreds of unaccompanied Haitian children were deported from the Dominican Republic to Haiti, according to NGOs such as IOM and ACAPS. These deportations involve minors who are sometimes sent back without documents or support, and some of them barely speak or do not speak Creole, leaving them extremely vulnerable.
This reportage was carried out inside an association in Ouanaminthe, on the border with the Dominican Republic, where staff receive and care for these unaccompanied children.
